Ramesh Chandak, senior executive at Microsoft, said India was the second largest marketing country for Microsoft because of its huge talent pool.
He was addressing students of Sri Vasavi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Nandamuru, as part of a day-long seminar on ‘Cloud computing, Azure and Windows Phone 7' on Tuesday. He said the Microsoft company had set up its branches at Delhi, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.
Imparting tips to students on how to face an interview in a confident way, Mr. Chandak said a student must be his natural self without overdoing things. A fair amount of homework on the background of the recruiting company could take the interviewee a long way. He said an interviewee must not shy away when asked if he had any questions to ask. Later, he elaborated on the concept of ‘cloud computing', its significance, usage and the current trends. He spoke about Windows Azure and said one did not have to opt for a special course for it as programmes like dot net, java and php tools could be used to develop applications for Azure. He then explained about Windows phone development, mobile phone usage, and its importance An interactive session that followed had queries tossed at him by students on cloud computing and Windows Phone7 app development.
He then visited Microsoft I-Spark Centre and interacted with students on innovative projects such as K-RIAD, MTA (Money to ATM), E-Raitu, and Danger Apps.
