Scrap Article 371 (D), says YSRC leader

October 21, 2013 03:25 pm | Updated 03:25 pm IST - VIJAYAWADA:

YSR Congress party Central Constituency in-charge P. Gowtham Reddy said that bifurcation of the State will not be possible without the scrapping of Article 371(D). Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, he said that if the bifurcation is to take place without the scrapping of the Article it will attract legal complications.

He also pointed out that the constitution of the GoM (Group of Ministers) to deal with the bifurcation issue without giving a thought on the Article 371(D) was hasty and not proper.

He also expressed confidence that the ‘T’ bill will not be placed in the coming winter session of the Parliament.

“The issue will be dragged till the election-2014,” he said.

Mr. Gowtham Reddy informed the media that over 40,000 people comprising party cadres and leaders will converge to Hyderabad for the ‘Samaikya Sankharavam’ public meeting called by the YSRC’s supremo Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on October 26.

Earlier, in the day he led a door-to-door padayatra, as part of the ongoing Samaikyandhra agitation, in the 42 division of the corporation.
