The South Central Railway will operate 132 special trains from eleven places to Kollam to meet the rush to Sabarimalai from December 7 to January 18. Advanced reservation for these specials will commence from 8 a.m. on Saturday (November 24).
Special trains will be operated from Hyderabad, Kakinada Town, Nizamabad, Vijayawada, Machilipatnam, Narasapur, Sirpurkagaznagar, Karimnagar, Aurangabad, Adilabad and Akola to Kollam.
According to a scheduled released by the Railway Authorities here on Friday 36 services would be operated from Hyderabad to Kollam and back via Kazipet and Renigunta (train numbers 07109/07110). The special from Hyderabad to Kollam will be operated on December, 12, 15, 16, 18, 23, 31, every day from December 3 to 8 and10 to 15. These specials will reach Kollam at 6 a.m. on the next day. The specials will halt enroute at Secunderabad, Kazipet, Warangal, Mahabubabad, Dornakal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Tenali, Nidubrolu, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Kavali, Nellore, Gudur, Venkatagiri, Sri Kalahasti, Renigunta, Katpadi, Gudiyattam, Veniyambadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Podanur, Palakkad, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Kayankulam.
Similarly 38 services will be operated from Kakinada Town station to Kollam and back via Vijayawada, Tirupati and Katpadi (07211/07212) on specific dates from December 12 January 15.
Ten services will be operated from Hyderabad to Kollam and back via Nadikudi, Guntur and Renigunta (07115/07116) from December 13 on specific days. Six services will be operated from Nizamabad to Kollam and back via Dhone and Renigunta (07613/07614) and Vijayawada and Kollam and back (07213/07214) on specific dates from December 7. Four services will be operated from Narsapur, Vijayawada, Machilipatnam to Kollam and from Kollam to Tirupati on specific dates. Two services will be operated from Sirpurkagaznagar, Aurangabad and back according to the schedule. Single services will be operated from Karimnagar, Akola, Adilabad and Kollam. Single services will also be operated from Tirupati to Akola and to Adilabad.
