Science lab opened in school

Mayor M.V. Ratna Bindu on Monday inaugurated a science lab set up in A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Municipal Corporation Urdu High School at Arundelpet.

Addressing a meeting organised in this connection, the Mayor said the top priority of the Corporation was to improve infrastructure facilities and basic amenities in the Corporation-run schools. She said special coaching was being imparted to weak students in 10th class to ensure that they performed well in the ensuing public examinations and contributed to the improvement of the pass percentage of the school. She also urged students to make use of the opportunity to hone their academic skills.

Deputy Education Officer in Vijayawada Municipal Corporation K. Durga Prasad complimented the “MCV Urdu Students Welfare Society” for helping in the setting up of the lab on the occasion of its 15{+t}{+h} anniversary. Local corporator Afrin Sultana was also present.
