Schools closed for two days

June 24, 2014 11:32 pm | Updated 11:32 pm IST - GUNTUR:

All schools in Guntur district will remain closed for two days beginning Wednesday, June 25, in view of the severe heat wave that has caused temperatures to soar. District Collector S. Suresh Kumar on Tuesday issued orders declaring compensatory holidays for two days following the Met Department forecast that heat wave would continue for two more days.

Schools can compensate for the loss of working days by conducting classes on second Saturday in July and August.
