State Bank of India General Manager, Network II, T. S. Krishna Swamy, inaugurated ‘Gruha Gamya' section, an additional feature in the bank's Labbipet branch on Tuesday.

‘Gruha Gamya' is an information gateway to display information pertaining to builders working in alliance with the SBI, Vijayawada. It's an initiative to provide information of the housing projects coming in and around Vijayawada, under one roof.

The online search ends with a click of a mouse. The visitors are exposed to a wide map of Vijayawada on which the projects that are coming up at different places are indicated by a star or a circle. The visitor can choose a place of his/her choice, for instance, Gollapudi, by clicking on the area selected on the software to find popping up of a list of projects coming up in that area.

Further, the visitor can click on the name of the builder of his choice to get details like the map of the site, floor layout and other specifications along with the contact number of the builder. The software also indicates if the project is a pre-approved one by the SBI. The visitor can also know his loan eligibility based on his income. The branch officials will also contact the builder concerned to provide further leads about the prospective buyer.

For convenience of the interested parties, the bank has created a separate enclosure equipped with a map, a computer system and hard copies of the brochures of the builders in an air-conditioned atmosphere. Regional Manager of the bank I. Seshagiri Rao was also present at the inaugural function.
