The former Indian test cricketer and National Cricket Academy director Sandeep Patil has expressed happiness at the way coaching was being conducted at various centres in coastal Andhra Pradesh by Andhra Cricket Association.

After a visit to the ACA Women's Cricket Academy at Guntur on Friday, where South Zone Women's Zonal Camp is in progress, Mr. Sandeep Patil wrote a letter to the ACA in which he has expressed happiness at the cricket development programme. He had visited Visakhapatnam, Mangalagiri also before coming to Guntur along with NCA faculty member to assess the coaching standards.

While he was happy with the facilities, coaches and supporting staff, he had special praise for the State association for being the first to have a separate academy for the Women's Cricket. The NCA zonal camp was completed successfully at this centre in Guntur, where good gymnasium, practice wicket, cricket ground and coaches were of highest quality, he opined.
