RTC buses back on the road in Vijayawada

October 13, 2013 02:47 pm | Updated 02:47 pm IST - VIJAYAWADA:

The sight of APSRTC buses criss-crossing the city roads after a 60-day long employees’ strike that had thrown normal life out of gear, brought cheer among people.

The prolonged strike crippled life, especially for the common man who largely depends for travel on the public transport. “The RTC in Krishna region has incurred a revenue loss of nearly Rs. 180 crore on account of the strike,” said the Corporation’s Executive Director R. Nagaraju on Thursday.
