The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, East Andhra Pradesh unit, has made all arrangements to host the Hindu Chaitanya Sibiram on January 18, 19 and 20 and about 20,000 swayamsevaks from 11 coastal districts will attend the camp.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, the RSS Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh general secretary Dusi Ramakrishna said that 10,000 women will also attend the sibiram from various parts and each one of them will bring home-made aresalu – a Andhra sweet to share with Swayamsevaks from other parts.
Fifteen townships had been built with 1.5 lakh liters of water facility, lavatories and other food arrangements to help the swayamsevaks interact peacefully. The meeting will be organised on a 30-acre site, where common discussions will take place.
The RSS leaders Bhayyaji Joshi will stay put on the Sibiram premises near Kaza along the National Highway No.5 opposite Acharya Nagarjuna University – just before the Toll Plaza. Our of the 15 townships built one will be the central township, one for the guests, and 13 for the swayamsevaks, said sibiram convener Gokaraju Gangaraju. Three route marches will be held from Vijayawada and Guntur to converge at the meeting venue.
On January 17 an exhibition will be organised to help the people understand the activities of RSS, said Mr. V. Ramakrishna, secretary.
The main aim of the RSS, which according to Mr. Ramakrishna, is secular, is to stop religious conversions.
