Rs. 530 cr. for AP's interim Secretariat

The Secretariat will initially be a G-plus one structure while two more floors will be added for various heads of departments.

The State government has given administrative approval for implementation of works worth Rs. 530 crore for construction of the interim Secretariat at Velagapudi.

Orders have been issued for construction of second and third floors at a cost of Rs. 68.34 crore, basic amenities in the interior areas of the structure at a cost of Rs. 355.74 crore and works worth Rs. 105.92 crore pertaining to basic amenities.

The Secretariat will initially be a G-plus one structure while two more floors will be added for various heads of departments.

According to CRDA officials, of the total area of 45 acres, concrete structures would come up in 27 acres, while 18 acres would be utilised as parking space. The officials said the structure would be completed by June and measurements for amenities in the interior spaces had already been taken.
