Andhra Pradesh State Excise and B.C. Welfare Minister K. Ravindra on Saturday announced that a 24x7 monitoring system would be operational soon to curb the unauthorised practices in liquor sale and unofficial price rise.Toll-free number
Speaking to the media here Saturday, Mr. Ravindra explained that special teams would respond to the complaints from people pertaining to liquor sales. “Complaints will be received through a toll-free number. Ä delegation from the department will study the existing policy in South Indian States including Tamil Nadu and Kerala before framing a policy for the State”, he said.
He appealed to the licensed liquor shop owners not to encourage belt shop system.Talks with stakeholders
The Minister said that he would hold talks with excise officials and other stakeholders to implement the billing system for strict implementation of selling of liquor at MRP . “We will ask the licensed liquor shop owners to put in display the stock details and the MRP,” he said.
