Outsourced staff of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Services hospital continued their protest for the second day on Saturday demanding payment of salaries for the last four months.

They boycotted duties and staged dharna in front of the hospital and raised slogans against the government. MLC Geyanand, CITU district president A. Raghunatha Reddy and United Teachers Federation district president B. Rajasekhar Rahul squatted along with the protesters expressing solidarity.

Dr. Geyanand said the pending salary issue of RIMS doctors and contractual ministerial staff was settled by the Government, but payment of the salary arrears of about 250 outsourced employees was pending.
