Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said the expert committee on ‘Status of implementation of Krishna delta modernisation works’ would submit its final report in November. The committee members are Ch. Veeraiah, Mr. Rosaiah and Mr. Subba Rao. Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Mr. Rao revealed that the study cum investigation by the committee has been done. However, the committee was also planning to study delta modernisation works including Machilipatnam and Pedana based on the demands from the farmers. “We will consider the suggestion of the committee following a review of the report at the meeting of the Irrigation Advisory Board,” he added.
