Municipal Commissioner G.S. Panda Das has urged the beneficiaries of Jakkampudi G plus three beneficiaries to pay back their loans immediately. The commissioner visited Jakkampudi housing colony near here on Thursday. On the occasion, he said some of the beneficiaries had not repaid the loans. The bankers would come forward to sanction loans to a few more beneficiaries, if they repaid the loans, he said.
The beneficiaries had not paid Rs.10,000, first instalment of their share of Rs. 40,000 share in the housing cost. The remaining Rs.30,000 could be taken as bank loan to pay the beneficiary contribution, he said.
Executive Engineer Uday Kumar, project officer Siva Sankar, deputy executive engineer Vijay Kumar and others were present.
