TDP MLA Paritala Sunitha created a flutter at swearing-in venue by demanding that her husband Paritala Ravindra’s murder case be reopened.

Mr. Ravindra, was murdered on January 24, 2005 at the district party office in Anantapur. Since then, the TDP leaders have been alleging that some top Congress party leaders were behind the killing.

Sunitha, who is representing Rapthadu Assembly constituency, arrived in Guntur to take oath as Minister in N. Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet on Sunday.

Speaking to newspersons, she said about 200 TDP activists were killed during Congress party’s regime and Paritala Ravi was one among them.

“Since our party has come to power, the government should reopen the case and take up fresh investigation. I request Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to re-investigate my husband’s murder case and see that culprits are booked,” said Ms. Sunitha.
