The alumni meet proved the age old saying that time and distance doesn’t really matter for a friendship. The alumni with their families attended the meet with full enthusiasm.

It may have been 25 years since many of them had met but the ecstatic atmosphere at the S.T.B.E.M School 1986-87 batch re-union was just like that of their old class room, at Manor Food Plaza on Sunday.

The alumni meet proved the age old saying that time and distance doesn’t really matter for a friendship. The alumni with their families attended the meet with full enthusiasm.

The meet started with introductions as many of them had not been in touch over the years. But once they connected the present faces with the once familiar faces from 25 years ago, it was like no time had passed.

Organised by Durga Rao, Amar Kumar and Hanumantha Rao, the re-union had a perfect attendance from their batch mates from all over the country.

One of the organisers Durga Rao said that it had taken them two months to organise the re-union and contacting all their old batch mates. “All the hard work was worth it when we get to see all our old friends”.

The atmosphere was that of a lively and fun filled one with most of the alumni trying to guess who is who in the crowd and reminiscing their school-going days.

A student of the 1986-87 batch Padmavathi said it was exciting to meet up with all of her old friends especially since she had not been touch with many of them over the years. “Due to personal commitments we may have not been in touch over the years but when I see them now all those things seem to not matter”, she said

The alumni meet was also attended by the Batch’s teachers who taught them 25 years ago. Various cultural programmes were organised by the kids of the alumni for this occasion.
