Relief will be provided soon, says Lagadapati

The Nilam cyclone had not only destroyed the crops but also many houses, said Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal. There was a need to pay relief money for people who had lost their belongings due to flooding, he said. Special officers had already been appointed for the estimation purposes and they would soon file the reports, he assured.

A survey would also be done about the Budameru issue and the special team would come up with a permanent solution soon, said Mr. Rajagopal. The Chief Minister was told about the problem by local leaders during his visit to the flood affected areas, he said. The Chief Minister had already promised to look into the release of funds immediately, he added

The special survey team had already begun work by collecting all the details of the loss incurred by the public, said Joint Collector P. Usha. The final report will also be filed soon, she said.

MLA’s Malladi Vishnu, Vellampalli Srinivas, RDO Venkat Rao, Tahsildars and Revenue officers were also present.
