Ranga birth anniversary celebrated

Former MLA Vangaveeti Radhakrishna and his followers paid homage and tributes to his father Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga on the occasion of his 65th birth anniversary celebrations on Monday. Various organisations also took part in the celebrations at different places in the city. A large number of followers gathered at the Ranga Statue near Raghavaiah Park right from the morning with leaders of different parties also coming there. Mr. Radhakrishna accompanied by his family members garlanded the statue and paid his respects. He also cut a cake on the occasion . Pradesh Congress Committee executive member Kolanukonda Shivaji and various other Congress leaders in city were also among those who paid tributes to V.M. Ranga.

At some places like Chuttugunta, other places on Eluru Road the followers of Ranga distributed sarees and organised poor feeding programmes. The leaders organised small meetings when visitors offered floral tributes to Ranga's photos placed at the venues.
