The Christian Dynamic Service Society (CDSS) celebrated the International Day of the Girl Child with a special rally by children in Vijayawada.

Former Deputy Mayor of Vijayawada Corporation S. Gritten appreciated the CDSS fort its work on protection of the girl child.

The CDSS through its child development project, was working for the uplift of girl child, said Project Coordinator B. John Wesley.

Children participated in a rally to raise awareness on the rights of a girl child. In addition they also utilised the opportunity to create awareness on environmental pollution by avoiding plastic bags. Through their placards the students suggested alternatives like paper and cloth bags. The children even distributed paper bags and pamphlets during the rally.

Dr. N.D. Srinivas, V. Nageswara Rao, Rev. Bhushan Rao, Rev. Issac, social worker Poornaiah, the CDSS staff and the local public participated in these celebrations.
