Raghavachari, four others felicitated

Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists and Press Club felicitated five persons from the city who have achieved excellence in their field and received awards from the State or Central government.

At a simple function at the Press Club at Gandhi Nagar, journalist C. Raghavachari, who has been made the Chairman of TV99, a channel being launched by the Visalandhra, was felicitated. Mr. Raghavachari will also head the media school to be launched by the media house.

Mimicry artiste Thota Sylvester, writer G.V. Poornachand, who received the Ugadi Puraskar from the State government recently were among those honoured. Sahitya Academy Award winner Peddibhotla Subbaramaiah, local photographer K. Srinivas Reddy were also honoured.
