The staff of a corporate college reportedly took away the boxes containing Intermediate question papers of the ongoing supplementary examinations from Gudivada police station.

However, the college management returned the boxes to the police on Tuesday. The police and the Revenue officials are inquiring into the alleged leakage of the question papers.

According to sources, some staff the police station on May 22 and took a few boxes containing the supplementary examinations question papers. With the news spreading out, they returned the boxes.

When contacted, Krishna district Collector M. Raghunandana Rao said Joint Collector J. Murali has been ordered to inquiry into the matter.

“The enquiry is being video-graphed and the question paper boxes and the covers are intact. We noticed that 12 boxes were taken out by Narayana College staff from the police station and the officials alerted the Board of Intermediate authorities over the incident,” said the Collector.

Speaking to The Hindu on Tuesday, Krishna District Superintendent of Police J. Prabhakara Rao said the police are investigating into the matter and stern action would be taken against the accused.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Balala Hakkula Sangham (APBHS) general secretary Anuradha Rao blamed the corporate college management for their act to achieve highest pass percentage.

Ms. Rao demanded the government to cancel the recognition of the institution and book the culprits immediately.
