Pulse polio today

District Collector S.A.M. Rizvi, Municipal Commissioner G. Ravi Babu, Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal and MLA Yalamanchili Ravi will formally launch the first phase of Pulse polio drive at 7.30 a.m. in the Ranigarithota Urban Health Centre, on Sunday.

The second phase of the immunisation drive is slated for April 1.

Meanwhile, M. Satyanarayana Raju, Chief Medical Officer in Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC), on Saturday flagged off a Pulse polio awareness rally from Swaraj Maidan to Tummalapalli Kalakshetram.

President of Rotary Sri Durga Club P. Rajani led a rally taken out on the “Polio Eradication” theme by students of M.K. Gandhi Municipal High School at One Town on Saturday.

District (3020) Polio Plus chairman G.V. Ramarao flagged off the rally.

Students of V.P. Siddhartha Public School collected Rs.3,50,730 for Pulse polio.

A Pulse polio Rally was held here on Saturday. District Medical & Health Officer M. Gopi Naik spoke.
