Noted film actor M. Murali Mohan, who has been into film production as well on Sunday felt that there was no need for any aggrieved section of people to take to streets offended by the contents of any particular film.

He told reporters here instead of staging protests, those taking objection to certain scenes could sit across with film makers and settle issues amicably.

Film makers make films only for the sake of entertainment and for viewing by a maximum number of people , he said .

The versatile actor, who had acted in over 350 films, felt it was more satisfying for him to appear on small screen in the present situation.

Unlike in those days when character artistes got due recognition, the situation was not the same any longer, he said. At present , most of the films revolved around the hero, heroine and comedian with not much scope for other characters, he said. More than producer, the director and the hero called the shots now.

Producers were finding the going tough if one film failed even after five box office hits, said the actor who made films on his banner Jayabheri productions.

He said the Telugu film industry was affected because of English films and films dubbed from other Indian languages. There was no overdose of sex in Telugu films when compared to those films, he felt.
