A Special Party Police conducted a raid and arrested the staff of Krishna Chaitanya Junior College for allegedly leaking the Intermediate question papers in the city on Saturday.

According to sources, the police laid a trap and took into custody about six members of the college while they were shifting the question papers to distribute them to their students at the examination centres before commencement of the examination.

Police are also inquiring about the role of invigilators, Intermediate Board officials and students in leaking the question paper.

Confirming the question paper leakage and malpractice in the city, Superintendent of Police E.Damodar said the malpractice was confined to a few centres in which the Krishna Chaitanya College students are appearing for examinations and investigation is under progress.

Dharna

Meanwhile, activists of SFI and ABVP staged a dharna in front of the college demanding action against the college management. They raised slogans urging the Intermediate Board to cancel recognition for the institution.

When the protestors tried to barge into the college, the police dispersed the student union leaders.
