Principal Secretary, Department of Tourism and Culture, N. Srikanth on Tuesday said every individual must contribute towards preservation of “our ancient and rich heritage”.

He was speaking after flagging off a heritage walk from Siddhartha Arts College to Moghalrajpuram caves, organised to mark the World Heritage Day. At the caves, Mr. Srikanth interacted with the local experts to learn about the significance of the place.

He addressed the local media and said such symbols of heritage in the local landscape must be preserved for posterity.

Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority CEO Himanshu Shukla said a series of activities were being taken up across the State to promote tourism in a big way.

Several officials of the tourism wing and allied departments participated in the walk.
