Prophet Mohammed teachings alone would save the society and unite the humanity, according to Jamat-e-Islami- Hind (JIH) State President Khaja Arifuddin.
The district unit of JIH organised a public meeting at Sanath Nagar commemorating prophet's birthday.Mr. Arifuddin, on the occasion, said that the society was lacking religiosity, divine service and worshipping of god.
The youth was attracted to net cafes, clubs and pubs culture.
At the same time, irresponsibility and selfishness were on rise in the people leading to inequalities in the society, he said. The politicians were working with vested interests, and have no concern for the people. The politicians don't want the people to be aware of and alert about the developments.
Hence, they were snubbing public movements, if any, in a strategic manner.
The recent movement against corruption led by Anna Hazare was best example to it. The political parties and politicians were treating the Muslims as mere vote bank rather than human beings. It was time for the Muslims to rise to the occasion and fight for their rightful share in political arena, and strive for a peaceful society, he added.
