Crowds in the town thronged the shooting of the movie, ‘Bezawada Rowdeelu' sending the unit members scurry on the busy roads of Kothapet on Tuesday. Shooting of the film on the banks of the Krishna and controversy dogging the title have already generated curiosity among the film-crazy public.

The shooting of a chase sequence with men brandishing sticks ended on a ‘filmy note,' with traffic police holding up the shooting citing lack of permission from ‘local authorities.'

Traffic DSP Y.T. Naidu and SI Ashok descended on the area with a battery of policemen and ordered the film unit to immediately stop shooting. The DSP told reporters that the shooting in busy area would clog the traffic and lead to chaos on the roads.

The plea of the unit members that they have already secured permission from Superintendent of Police

A. Ravichandra was not heeded by the local police who asked the unit members to pack up.

The shooting attracted scores of people and caused traffic snarls on the busy Kothapet. The unit members had a tough time in controlling the crowds. Actor Naga Chaitanya was seen in a joyful mood waving to the crowds.

Earlier, the film unit shot some scenes on the National Highway-5.
