Four held; 11 others yet to be arrested

The city police unravelled the mystery behind the death of Telugu Nadu Students Federation urban president V. Madan Mohan Krishna.

They arrested four persons Ch. Pavan, 20, a resident of Prasadampadu, V. Goverdhan Rao, 56, a resident of Ramavarappadu, V. Srinath, 27, a resident of Nidamanuru, and M. Anil Kumar, 28, a resident of Gulabithota, here on Thursday. However, prime accused Greenlines Travels proprietor V. Nagarajkumar alias Nani, and other 10 accused are yet to be arrested.

The other accused include: Srinu (Nani's brother-in-law), B. Venkata Rama Rao alias Pandu, Balakrishna (Nani's bus cleaner), Sambasiva Rao, Durga and Jyothi (Nani's sisters), Kesava Rao (bus driver), Venkatesh (bus cleaner), V. Nalini and Rajani.

Nagarajakumar and his associates warned Mohan Krishna against continuing his relationship with a woman.

The duo, however, did not heed their advice and continued their relationship.

The police said at a press conference that subsequently, hatching a plan to eliminate Mohan Krishna, they invited him to Nagarajakumar' s house.

As soon has he entered the house, they attacked him, and tied him with a rope.

They beat him with a jack rod.

Later, they threw the body from Nidamanuru bridge and dragged his body with ropes on to the road.

The accused allegedly drove a bus over him to project it as an accident, the police said.

Nani, M. Anil Kumar, B. Venkata Rama Rao are accused in the kidnap case registered in January this year. They attempted to kidnap an auto driver Siva Balabhadra Rao, who had an extra marital affair with a married woman in Nidamanuru, the police said.
