Cashing in on the all-pervading mood to bring home the all-time favourite yellow metal, a ritual considered auspicious during Akshaya Tritiya, the city –based PMJ Gems and Jewellers Pvt. Ltd. unfolded an exclusive diamond and contemporary jewellery exhibition-cum-sale at hotel D.V. Manor on Sunday.

The dazzle of an array of jewellery designs at the expo is big bait even for the shrewdest of jewellery shoppers. The three-day event evoked good response on the first day with women with a weakness for the yellow metal and precious stones visiting the venue in droves.

The organisers said the expo was an attempt to connect with their loyal patrons and offer them the new and unique collection which included an inter-changeable wedding necklace and waist belt.

The gorgeous piece of craft is a three-strand necklace (wedding haram) with the facility to remove the three strands and convert them into three different independent necklaces. The centre piece locket can be detached into a separate wearable pendant and the best part is that the centre gem stone studded in the locket-cum-pendant can be changed and replaced with any gemstone which matches the fancy of the person wearing it.

An innovative necklace manufactured in a way that it can be interchanged either into a waist-belt (vaddhanam) or a solo pendant is yet another highlight. A steady stream of women folk pouring in indicated the persistent demand for the yellow metal regardless of the fluctuating gold rates in the market.

The shimmering products manufactured by the company can be classified into diamond jewellery, colour-stone jewellery, precious gem stone jewellery, un-cut diamond jewellery, Victorian jewellery, single cut diamond jewellery and temple jewellery.

Claiming that the PMJ had the best in-house team of designers & goldsmiths who produced some of the finest designs which infused life in the sparkling precious gemstones and diamonds, the company representatives said PMJ would soon launch its own e-stone web portal to expand its clientele base.
