After successfully completing Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) for Capital city, the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) is now focusing on revenue generation.
The CRDA authorities are planning to bring the tax collection on par with Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
Their plans include collection of special impact fee in capital city area. The people would have to shell out around Rs. 35 per sq.ft to construct a residential building in the GHMC area. Similarly, it would be around Rs. 45 per sq.ft for commercial space. However, it would be around Rs. 15 in the CRDA jurisdiction as of now. So, the authority is contemplating levying fee and taxes to match GHMC structure, sources say.
The CRDA in that direction, sources say, has listed out more than eight avenues to augment the revenues. The special impact fee will be collected in capital city area, sources say, as capital construction would definitely have an impact on the land values there. So, the special impact fee is being planned, sources say.
