PFC grants Rs.1,112 cr. loan to State

The team headed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) Chairman and Managing Director (C&MD) M.K. Goel handed over documents related to Rs.1,112 crore loan to the Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday.

The team members, in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Energy Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Mr. Goel, gave the documents to Chief Minister’s Secretary G. Sai Prasad and Secretary (Energy) Ajay Jain.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Naidu said the corporation sanctioned Rs.1,000 crore to fill the deficit in the budget in view of division of Andhra Pradesh. As many as 4,000 solar pump sets, worth Rs.112 crore have been sanctioned, he said.

The Chief Minister asked the PFC to take up skill development programmes and help the government in supplying quality power supply to the consumers. AP Genco and Transco in-charge finance director P. Satya Murthy, PFC project director A.K. Agarwal and Assistant General Manager (projects) G. David were present.
