PESO team to assess cause of cylinder blast

A team of officials from the Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO), Nagpur, will descend on the city and visit the CNG dispensing plants and the mother station at Nainavaram to assess the cause of a CNG cylinder blast that occurred a few months ago.

This was decided at a two-day meeting held in Delhi on July 25 and 26.

The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation being one of the stake-holders in the CNG gas supply chain, Regional Manager of the Corporation K.V.R.K. Prasad, was part of the delegation that attended the Delhi meet chaired by T.R. Thomas, Chief Controller of Explosives, PESO.

This was the second meeting on the crucial issue of CNG cylinder blasts, one of which took place at the Vidyadharapuram plant in the city.
