Perni visits old age home

Government Whip Perni Venkataramaiah has promised to distribute pensions to the inmates at the old age home being run by the State government at Eedepalli village in Krishna district

Mr. Venkataramaiah, who visited the home on Saturday, enquired the inmates about their health condition and the food and medical facilities being extended by the government.

He examined the quality of drinking water being supplied to the inmates at the home.

The State government has been giving pensions to about 3 lakh old age, physically challenged, and widows in Krishna district. When the old women complained that they were facing trouble to collect pension from different places, the whip instructed the staff to arrange distribution of pension at the home.

He asked District Headquarters Hospital Superintendent S. Raja to arrange a medical camp for the inmates and provide necessary treatment for the needy patients. Dr. Raja and Dr. Vinay Kumar tested the patients immediately.

The Superintendent asked the staff to submit the details of the drugs required for the inmates and assured to supply pills for diabetes, blood pressure and other diseases regularly.
