The Andhra Pradesh police probing the killing of three persons, who were shot dead by hired killers at Pedavutapalli on the borders of Krishna and West Godavari districts on September 24, may approach the Interpol to arrest one of the accused, who is in London.
The Delhi and the A.P. Police, who arrested seven persons in the case, identified Bhutam Srinivas Rao and Bhutam Govinda Rao, siblings of slain hotelier B. Durga Rao, as the main plotters in the case along with three others, who were in remand. Police said Govinda Rao who was in London had reportedly executed the murder plan.
The Bhutam brothers, in an act of revenge against the Gandham family, hired the killers by paying huge sums and eliminated Gandham Nageswara Rao and his sons Gandham Pagidi Maraiah and G. Maraiah. City Police Commissioner A.B. Venkateswara Rao said the two families developed differences grudge owing to competition in their business and other reasons. “We picked up the main accused, including the conspirators and the shooters. If necessary, we will seek the help of Interpol to arrest Bhutam Govinda Rao, who is in London,” an investigating officer told The Hindu .
Meanwhile, the seven arrested members were brought to Penamaluru police station on Thursday amid tight security. “We will produce the accused in Gannavaram court and seek their custody for further investigation,” a police officer said.
