The 25th Paruchuri Raghubabu Smaraka Naatakotsavams-2015 will be held from May 1 to 5 at Paruchuri Raghubabu – TSR Kala Parishath Kalamandapam at Nandamuri Tarakaramarao Kala Pranganam in Pallekona village, Guntur.

These competitions are organised in memory of Raghubabu, son of popular script and dialogue writer Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao. Informing this to media persons here on Sunday, Mr. Rao, who is the Managing Trustee of the Raghubabu Memorial Trust, said the last date for sending the entries for all plays and play-lets was February 10, 2015.

The entries should be sent to the following address – V.V. Rajagopala Rao, Treasurer, 12-2-823/A59, Santoshnagar Colony, Mehdipatnam. After the preliminary examination, the list would be announced on April 2. A 25-member committee would also be constituted to felicitate 25 eminent artists on the occasion, Mr. Rao said.

He explained the prize distribution ceremony would be conducted on May 5. “We will present silver articles to the winners instead of giving money to them,” he said adding that several artists were selected for acting in Telugu films after watching their performances in the plays. The same competitions would be conducted from April 27 to 30 in Hyderabad.
