: Scorching heat and traffic jams tested the patience of the engineering and medicine aspirants who appeared for the EAMCET across the State on Friday.

Heavy flow of vehicles at the examination centres in city caused traffic jams both in the morning and afternoon. Parents who accompanied their wards suffered a lot due to the oppressive heat as several of them waited on the roadside for hours.

“The heat is unbearable and I have no other alternative but to stay and wait for my daughter,” said J Subramanyam, a parent taking shelter near Siddhartha Arts and Science College. Parent of students of residential colleges in city came from various parts of the State to accompany their wards to the exam centres and give them moral support. Preliminary key was uploaded in the AP EAMCET website (www.apeamcet.org) and can be accessed.
