: Adding to the array of statues of artistes in various fields in the premises of Tummalapalli Kshetrayya Kalakshetram will be the statue of former Chief Minister and legendary actor N.T. Rama Rao.
The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation’s Council on Thursday accepted and passed the proposal made by Co-opted member Chennupati Usharani who is also a TDP leader.
Ms. Usharani requested the corporation authorities to feature N.T. Rama Rao in the Kalakshetram which is being renovated.
YSRC floor leader B. Punyaseela reminded the Mayor that the Council had earlier approved a proposal to erect statue of comedian Raja Babu. Mayor K. Sridhar said efforts would be made to install the statue soon.
