January 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

The VMC has begun issuing notices to residents for setting up more drainage closets and water taps in houses. While, a resident complained of receiving a notice for setting up four drainage closets as against one in his house, three other residents said they were being issued notices for payment of water cess, though they did not have water connections.

This apart, there was also been a plea from residents of 14{+t}{+h}division seeking more pension disbursement centres in the division, as several senior citizens were forced to wait for long hours at the existing centre.

The VMC Commissioner G. Veerapandian instructed officials to ensure that all the grievances filed in adalats were addressed.
