‘No difference of opinion with BJP’

May 18, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:49 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

Agriculture Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao has asserted that the TDP has no knock down drag out fight with the BJP. The alliance with the BJP will continue, he asserted.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Mr. Pulla Rao said: “May be a few ,who had difference of opinion with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and left the party, have grievances. But, there is no mitra bhedam (differences in our friendship).” He, however, did not elaborate on leaders who had differences with Mr. Naidu and joined the BJP.

The alliance would continue and the State would be developed as envisioned, he said. Referring to the SCS, the Minister said: “If other states are objecting to it, the Centre can still help Andhra Pradesh. It can well implement all provisions of the SCS even without announcing the special status to the State.” Reacting to YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s “jala deeksha,” the Minister suggested him to do the same in New Delhi.
