New reservation centre at Nuzvid

A new Passenger Reservation System (PRS) facility has been commissioned at Nuzvid post office and began functioning from Thursday. According to press release of the Indian Railways here on Friday, as per the budgetary announcement, Railway Passenger Reservation System is to be provided at a location as per the choice of MPs in their constituencies. Rajya Sabha Member K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao, had given his choice as Nuzvid Post Office for providing a Computerised PRS.

Computerised PRS facility has been commissioned and this will enable rail users to book their tickets from any station to any station by all the trains on Indian Railways. It will help to serve the needs of people from Nuzvid and nearby villages to book their rail reservations and travel from any convenient rail head.

In connection with Non-interlocked working for remodelling of yard and fabrication works for provision of Foot Over Bridge on Platform number 5 & 6 at Gudur Railway station, the following passenger/Express trains will be fully/partially cancelled from September 18 to 25. Trains fully cancelled: Train Nos.57429/57430 Tirupati-Gudur-Tirupati passenger; Train Nos.57411/57412 Tirupati-Gudur-Tirupati passenger; Train No.57239 Chennai-Gudur-passenger; Train No. 57240 Bitragunta-Chennai passenger.

Trains partially cancelled: Train Nos.12710/12709 Secunderabad-Gudur-Secunderabad Simhapuri Express will be partially cancelled between Nellore-Gudur; Train Nos. 57224/57223 Vijayawad-Gudur-Vijayawada passenger will be partially cancelled between Bitragunta-Gudur; Train No.57277 Gudur-Vijayawada passenger will be partially cancelled between Gudur-Bitragunta.

Restoration of Rail Bus between Kakinada Town and Kotipalli: Train Nos.77272 / 77271 Kakinada Town – Kotipalli – Kakinada Town RAIL BUS service which was cancelled from August 12 to September14 has been restored and began running from Thursday.
