After undergoing rigorous training in military subjects like drill, shooting, physical training, and map reading etc in the last few days in the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-III) at Chirala conducted by the NCC's 23 AP Battalion, NCC cadets participated in an environment protection drive on Friday.

The cadets carried out cleaning of Suryalanka beach near Bapatla.

They collected rubbish and recyclables from the beach. The cleaning drive was carried out as part of the Campaign “My Earth My Duty”.

The beach cleaning activity was carried out to educate the public and make them aware of their responsibility in keeping the environment clean.

Camp Commandant Lt. Col. Paramjit Singh said the cadets learnt to cherish Mother Earth and hoped that they would do their best to make the planet a better place to live on.
