On the second and final day of his visit to Singapore, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu was shown around Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park and Tao Payoh Town in the forenoon on Tuesday.

During his visit to the Park, the officials explained how a drain was converted into a river. The property prices around the place have shot up and the 150-hectare area has become very vibrant.

When he was told that they have an ABC (active, beautiful, clean) water policy, the Chief Minister sought their expertise in making canals, rivers and towns ABC in Andhra Pradesh.

He instructed Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana, who is accompanying Mr. Naidu, to coordinate with Singapore officials and work out a plan. “All our towns have to be made ABC”, he told them.

The Chief Minister was also informed that 3,000 volunteers help the Singapore Government in the upkeep of parks. Besides, MPs too get involved in the development of parks.
