Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday told the Singapore authorities about his vision to convert Andhra Pradesh into a State of ports and explained the salient features of the plans put in place for the development of 13 ports.
The Chief Minister, according to an official release, evinced interest in learning about the steps initiated by the Singapore government for cleansing the Singapore river. He told the officials concerned about the Ganga cleaning project launched by the Narendra Modi government, and held deliberations on the modalities to be followed for ensuring cleanliness at tourist centres.
River tourismMr. Naidu, who was keen on learning about the measures taken up by the Singapore government for promoting river tourism, explained the officials about the steps initiated by the government to it as well as giving a fillip to beach tourism in Andhra Pradesh which was endowed with a long coastline.
Elaborating on his government’s plans for developing a Buddhist circuit and temple tourism linking all the major temples, he sought the cooperation of Singapore authorities in promoting tourism in the State.
