Godavari Maha Pushkara Vanam, known as Nagara Vanam, has became a hub of activity for ‘Karthika Vana Samaradhana’ on Sunday.

Hundreds of people from Rajamahendravaram started thronging the beautiful park cum recreation centre which is created as a lung space for people during Godavari Maha Pushkaram in 2015. The Forest Department under the AP Disaster Relief Project (APDRP) built the park at a cost of ₹12 crore.

In view of Karthika Masam, DFO (Wildlife Section) Prabhakara Rao has made an announcement about two weeks ago that public can use ‘Nagara Vanam’ having a large varieties of trees to organise their parties.

The park is about 5 km from Rajamahendravaram city in Lalacheruvu area.

On the first Sunday of Karthika Masam, very few number of visitors thronged the park. However, on November 29, about 2,000 visitors took part in different activities from morning to evening.
