Seasoned musicians and budding artistes alike have paid musical tribute to saint composer Tyagaraja, a native of remote Kakarla village in Prakasam district.

The Chennakesava Swamy temple provided the right ambiance for the singers to sing the famous ‘Pancharatna Kritis’ late on Sunday after paying floral tributes, by among others, Ongole MLA D.Janardhana Rao.

AIR,Vijayawada Music Director Modumudi Sudhakar and Kanchi Kamakoti Mutt Asthana Vidwan P.Gowrinath enthralled the audience with some scintillating music. So did Tunturti sisters Revathi and Subbalakshmi. The music festival provided the much needed exposure to 40 odd disciples of veteran musician T. Srinivasamurthy, secretary of the Swararaga Sudha to prove their talent.

Noted vocalist Malladi Narayana Sarma was honoured on the occasion.
