Municipal school lacks sufficient number of toilets

April 16, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:54 am IST - VIJAYAWADA:

All that is required is small drizzle for the Tammina Potharaju Municipal School in Kamsalipeta to get flooded. To make matters worse, there are not many toilets for the convenience of students.

There are more than 150 students in the school. Even teachers face problems owing to insufficient number of toilets. If this is the case of municipal school, areas like Judicial Colony, Simhachalam Street, Mahankalamma temple and Nizam Gate are plagued with problems like bad roads, damaged culverts and drains.

There are only four toilets, while there is a requirement of at least two more toilets in the school. The issue was brought to the notice of Vijayawada Municipal Commissioner G. Veerapandian when he inspected the areas on Wednesday, said local corporator A. Venkata Jailaxmi.
