Mumbai woman rescued at Vissannapet in Krishna dt.

In a joint operation, the Maharashtra and A.P. police rescued a 30-year-old woman, who was allegedly kidnapped by an employee of a call centre. The woman was kept in a house by a person named Mahesh. The Vijayawada Police Commissioner’s Task Force and the local police raided a house at Putrela village of Vissannapeta mandal on Friday and rescued the woman. A native Reddigudem mandal in Krishna district, Mahesh is working at the call centre. He developed friendship with a woman and brought her to the village.

Following a complaint, the Mumbai police, with the help of local police, picked up the woman, said Nuzvid DSP V. Srinivas.

The Maharashtra police took the accused into custody.
