BJP’s Prime Ministerial nominee Narendra Modi struck a chord with a few hundreds of party workers and general public through his nationwide speech that was telecast live in 3D format on a giant screen set up in an open ground behind Sesha Sai Kalyanamandapam on M.G Road here on Friday.
However, the response was not encouraging as many people and even the party workers were not aware of the program till the eleventh hour due to a communication gap.
The positive thing about it was the crystal clear image of Mr. Modi beamed by Videocon through 3D projectors made by a leading American visual technologies company Christie. But, Mr. Modi appeared to be taller than he actually is apparently due to a configuration error.
BJP leaders Yerneni Sitadevi, D. Umamaheswara Raju, Ramineni Venkata Krishna and Ch. Ramakotaiah and former MP Gadde Ramamohan (TDP) were among the participants.
Party State president K. Haribabu was scheduled to address the gathering before Mr. Modi’s speech began to be telecast but he could not come being busy in seat-sharing exercise with TDP.
In his address, Mr. Modi said he was happy to get into touch with ‘young, digital India’. He was talking about the groundswell of support his party was getting from youth on the Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms and hoped that his party would be given a decisive mandate in the general elections for heralding a bright future for the country.
