The State government is planning to introduce mobile veterinary services to extend proper healthcare to animals in villages.
At a review meeting on animal husbandry, livestock and fisheries held at Secretariat here on Friday, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu suggested officials to entrust the job of collecting data on livestock to DWCRA women after training them.
“This will not only help us to obtain data but also enable us assess milk production from each animal. With this, we can know the exact production and grow fodder based on production,” he advised, adding that this would help the government to encourage local fodder growers and dairy farmers.
