Five members of a family, who had been missing since one-and-a-half year, were found murdered and discreetly buried on the premises of a school here on Tuesday.

The investigation officers, under the supervision of Kadapa DSP C. Rajeswar Reddy, exhumed the highly decomposed bodies buried on the Zion English Medium High School premises, at Mariyapuram in Kadapa town.

The five -- K. Krupakar Isaac (35), correspondent of Zion English Medium High School, his wife K. Mounika (30) and their children Angel Rani (8), Rajaratnam (6) and Pavitra (4) -- were missing for the last one-and-a-half years. Krupakar’s father and founder-chairman of Zion College of Physical Education and Zion English Medium High School, K. Rajaratnam Isaac, reportedly told Mounika’s mother Velpula Sujatha that the family had gone abroad.

Sujatha lodged a complaint with Kadapa SP Navin Gulati on August 5 this year, alleging that her daughter’s family was missing and suspected foul play. The SP constituted a special police party headed by Proddatur Urban CI T.V. Satyanarayana which took Rajaratnam Isaac’s car driver C. Ramanjaneyulu Reddy into custody and he showed the place where the five bodies were buried.

The SP said Krupakar Isaac strangulated his wife to death on February 22, 2013 and buried her on the school premises with the help of Ramanjaneyulu Reddy. Later he struck a Rs. 25 lakh deal with hired assassins of Lakkireddipalle and gave them a Scorpio car for knocking down the person with whom his wife had an illicit relationship, the SP said.

Krupakar strangulated his three children on Good Friday in April 2013 and buried their bodies on the school premises, Mr. Gulati said. Later, he gave a suicide note to the school principal asking him to hand it over to his father, and hanged himself.

Rajaratnam Isaac was aware of the killings and the place of burial, but was involved in hiding the offence and screening evidence, the SP said.
